The Fraoch Cottage - Nestling in a natural hillside setting on the eastern rise of The Great Glen, the grounds of The Heathers and Fraoch Cottage benefit from excellent views over Loch Lochy towards the forested mountains beyond. To the rear the steep rhododendron clad mountain provides an impressive backcloth, intentionally framed for visitors through the large window of the cottage’s feature staircase.

Externally the cottage enjoys a private path to its front door and the convenience of car parking for up to two vehicles on the adjacent gravelled area. Whilst the property benefits from direct access off the main A82 Fort William to Inverness Road, privacy from passing traffic is provided courtesy of a long driveway and a swathe of trees and rhododendron bushes. In total, the grounds of the Heathers extend to some two and a half acres and provide that feeling of space and freedom unique to country living.

"We recently stayed at Fraoch Cottage attached to the Heathers, it is such a delightful cottage with everything there you could want and the views are magnificent. Sheila supplies things that you do not usually get in selfcatering but the absolute luxury was the home-made shortbread and bread that she had made both so delicious. We had such a wonderful time visiting Skye, Culloden, Glencoe, Applecross - over the Applecross mountains (not for the faint hearted) but out of this world."
